@PickledAndFermented The rebates are thousands of dollars less than what you pay a year in carbon taxes. Plus the higher the cost of goods & services means that you also pay higher regular taxes like GST or PST on everything. So not only is the carbon tax increasing in a month, so are all the other taxes you also pay on everything you purchase, every day, all year.

@Oasis-Stormborn Hopefully you don’t get a notice that your mortgage doubled. Or rent. Or lose your job. Then maybe you’ll be living paycheque to paycheque too. You blaming Canadians for the government’s failures is ridiculous. They doubled our federal debt, while increasing multiple taxes & 8-10 interest rate hikes due to that out of control spending & you blame Canadians. Wow.

@Oasis-Stormborn So you admit then the carbon tax is for government revenue? Because if they give us more back in rebates then we pay how does that affect GDP? Liberal magic?
