  5. Unfortunately I wish folks just were honest, all those involved were probably partially responsible for the outcome. Saying that of course Mr. Floyd didn’t deserve to die. The police were on him for too long, the crowd yelling at & threatening the officers probably were a distraction & Floyd himself created the entire situation by breaking the law & taking dangerous levels of very bad drugs. If he just got in the police car I wouldn’t be typing any of this. Very sad all around.

  6. Unfortunately the young fella resisted, he’d be alive if he didn’t. But the police officer failed. There should be repercussions for a police officer that yells taser but shoots someone. Just a terrible situation all around.

  7. Terrible situation. A police officer should face repercussions for this type of mistake. In fairness though, if this young fella didn’t break the law & then resist arrest this situation wouldn’t exist, and thusly no mistake made. It’s just sad all around.

  12.  @carokann1802  I’m sorry but you are incorrect. Mr. Floyd used counterfeit money in a store & an employee called the police. He absolutely broke the law. He certainly didn’t cooperate with the police & had high amounts of drugs in his system. But he didn’t deserve to die. The police officer failed, killed him, faced justice & is now in jail. So do you really want to have a discussion when your comment is completely wrong?

  21.  @random19911004  Of course there is a defence somewhere in there, the one officer might have been dragged or killed. Doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be repercussions for mistakes made. I tried my best in my initial comment to be fair & place blame all around, because that’s where it lies in this situation. Both the young fella & officer failed. And both will pay a price unfortunately.

  24. @juliee.7072  A decent person who cares about other humans should...treat every firearm as if loaded...be aware of your target & what is beyond...do not put your finger on the trigger until on target & ready to shoot...does not point any firearm any anything you wish not to destroy. Alec failed every safety rule.

  29.  @mrmooshoo8380  I never said anything close to “George Floyd is on trial”. I was very fair & reasonable in my above comment. Again, he didn’t deserve to die but his actions lead to having an encounter with the police. Encounters that sometimes go horribly wrong. It’s unfortunate.
