Yes, definition of terms is vitally important if MEANING is to be found. And as to the question of WHAT IS "REAL"....Mathematics is indeed a "language." And like all languages, math is only SYMBOLIC and therefore LIMITED in its ability to convey and define MEANING. To quote the noted mathematician Bertrand Russell: "Physics is mathematical not because we know so much about the physical world, but because we know so little; it is only its mathematical properties that we can discover." He also said: "Mathematics may be defined as the subject in which we never know what we are talking about, nor whether what we are saying is true." And here is the reason why these statements are absolutely true: We who are experiencing LIMITATION, which is IRRATIONAL by definition, have no objective view of Reality - which, by definition, is entirely RATIONAL..and therefore whole and complete and entirely LIMITLESS. But if you want to gain the most comprehensive understanding of Absolute Reality that a limited, finite mind can have (outside of an experience), I invite you to read my landmark 2013 book "THE HOLY GRAIL IS FOUND."

Ideally, philosophy and religion seek the same thing that scientists seek: TRUTH. So, if you seek only math for math's sake, you are correct, However, if you seek the underlying truth.....Well, to quote the noted mathematician Bertrand Russell: "Physics is mathematical not because we know so much about the physical world, but because we know so little; it is only its mathematical properties that we can discover." He also said: "Mathematics may be defined as the subject in which we never know what we are talking about, nor whether what we are saying is true." And here is the reason why these statements are absolutely true: We who are experiencing LIMITATION, which is IRRATIONAL by definition, have no objective view of Reality - which, by definition, is entirely RATIONAL. You are correct concerning the fact that we are ignorant concerning the abstract. To quote the noted mathematician Bertrand Russell: "Physics is mathematical not because we know so much about the physical world, but because we know so little; it is only its mathematical properties that we can discover." He also said: "Mathematics may be defined as the subject in which we never know what we are talking about, nor whether what we are saying is true." And here is the reason why these statements are absolutely true: We who are experiencing LIMITATION, which is IRRATIONAL by definition, have no objective view of Reality - which, by definition, is entirely RATIONAL. And because the Rational is - by definition - complete and lacking nothing, Reality is LIMITLESS, Therefore, Absolute Reality is beyond the purview of limited senses and limited minds. But if you want to gain the most comprehensive understanding of Absolute Reality that a limited, finite mind can have (outside of an experience), I invite you to read my landmark 2013 book "THE HOLY GRAIL IS FOUND."

Here's what's going on: It should be obvious to any thinking person that we are currently experiencing LIMITATION. And everything that is limited is IRRATIONAL by definition, which is why we can be sure that we are currently having an IRRATIONAL EXPERIENCE. But it's all that we remember, which is why we take it for granted and consider it "normal." However, all "facts" and "truths" in this experience are RELATIVE to this experience, and are not ABSOLUTE. This experience (of limitation) is a PROCESS. And although we perceive ourselves and everything in the cosmos to be "things," absolutely everything is a part of this process. Numbers are limited and are therefore irrational by definition, which is why they can do nothing more than describe certain occurrences within this process, and only with an approximate accuracy. (For example, even A. Einstein could not calculate the exact circumference of a circle from a given diameter.) Now, do you want to know what Absolute Reality consists of, and WHY we are currently having an irrational experience; a process that involves limitation? Do you want to know the Meaning of Life? "Seek and ye shall find".....

Fantastic, Scott! You've noticed a huge synchronicity that's in plain sight, but escapes most people's notice: the unlikely fact that the moon and sun should appear exactly the same size to us. Now, you should know that all who seek Truth, were they to find It, would find the same Thing - be they men of science, religion, or philosophy. And here's what's up: A virtual reality simulation? Yes, that's precisely what our current experience is. And if you want to know all of the details, including the precise reason WHY we we find ourselves experiencing a virtual reality simulation (rather than absolute Reality), I invite you to read my book "The Holy Grail is Found," available through Amazon. "Woo-woo"? No. The true nature of Reality - and its relationship to this virtual reality - explained clearly, for the first time in recorded history. That's all.
