The Aramaic language that Jesus (Yeshua) spoke makes no provision for TENSE, which must be discerned from the context, which is sometimes impossible. Therefore, the men who translated the words of Jesus (into Greek) were sometimes not sure of the tense, and often got it wrong. Jesus said: "YOU LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION." For as said in James 1:13, "GOD TEMPTS NO ONE." And here is the true meaning of the words Jesus Christ gave us in the Lord's Prayer, when put in proper tense: "Our Father, which art in Heaven , hallowed IS thy name. Thy Kingdom IS come, they will IS done, on earth as it is in Heaven. You DO give us this day our daily bread, and you DO forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. You lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Fort thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever, Amen." THE LORD'S PRAYER IS A PRAYER OF AFFIRMATION; not a prayer of supplication. A prophet of God has spoken; the same soul that once came as Elijah....ready for your rejection, as prophesied in Revelation Chapter 11!
