IT IS BECAUSE right-wing propaganda has convinced Americans that "one party is as bad as the other" that Republicans have been able to do so well for so long. And THAT is why some Democrats have bent that direction over time (if you can't beat them, join them), and THAT is why the end of Democracy is near. PEOPLE HAVE BELIEVED TOO MANY LIES FOR TOO LONG. The problem is, when the evil forces (fascists) get a certain percentage of the population to support them, even though they are a minority, they are able to proceed successfully - just as Hitler did in 1930's Germany. They already had billionaires behind them. And now, with social media supporting their propaganda, they are able to finally gain 'critical mass." And the sad outcome is certain at this point.
