  1. I found an old REI jacket I thought I had lost and took it out on a rainy day, only to get wet. Opened it up in the house to find the Gore-tex had flaked off the nylon, exposing large areas to water. And nothing "causes" cancer. Some things increase the likelihood of some people to develop it.

  2. It's not "sudden". It all started when "utility vehicles" became cheaper than cars due to exemptions from certain government mandates.
