  2.  @Funkme67  No, it can't. We can easily see in the video that it exploded instantaneously and violently. A battery can't do that, not even a lithium battery. You can check videos of lithium batteries malfunctioning. They don't explode, they start burning. And those are modern phone batteries, that are required to accumulate and deliver high amount of energy for the high demand power of modern phones. Pagers requires very little electric energy.
