  8. There was a band called Girl in the UK. On their first album, they did a KISS cover. Later, they got their big break when they were selected to open up for KISS on the European arena tour. On night one Girl played the KISS cover. Gene Simmons pulled the singer aside and said something like "You probably didn't know this, but it's bad form. Please don't play it again." The next night Girl played the tune anyway. They got kicked off the arena tour, and broke up soon after. My takeaway? Maximize those big opportunities, and keep your ego in check.

  12. There are two takeaways here: 1.) Make those huge opportunities happen. If they would have slayed opening for Creed in Los Angeles, they would have been signed immediately. There may have even been a bidding war. 2.) Keep your ego in check. You're in a nobody band playing clubs. Be humble. Even if you make it to Creed's level eventually, be humble. There's a million people looking to replace you as the next big thing, so keep your ego in check - it may make your career last longer. Cheers!

  14.  @jambertin54  Creed are not performing because they are so successful they don't have to get back together for a big nostalgia payday tour just to have a retirement fund. Selling 20 million albums DOES mean they're good. If they were an objectively, demonstrably terrible band, they never would have signed a recording agreement, let alone had management. There is literally nothing wrong with their music. You just don't care for it. That's fine. Neither do I. But the are certainly not "Nowhere. Because they sucked lol"

  35. Creed were HUGE in early 2000's and have sold over 20 million albums. Almost of them are still successful musicians 30 years later. Where is everyone from Billionaire? Creed were not terrible, you just don't care for their music. I couldn't get into it either, but there's nothing objectively wrong with it.
