  1. I've only seen it once back in the day, but I do remember the suspension of disbelief being too big to ignore. So much time has elapsed that humans and sea creatures have evolved into completely different subspecies (10's of thousands of years), but there is still gas and the knowledge to make jet skis function? There is no land anywhere, so where did they get all of stuff to make floaty cities? I think that is one of the reasons it didn't do well. Maybe things are more plausible in the Director's cut. Has anyone seen that version? Cheers!
