Great advice! Remember: comedy is a numbers game. The more jokes you attempt, the more laughs you'll receive. Even professional comedians are happy with a 50% success rate. Cheers!

that's the spirit!

This! We call that an 'Amber Alert'
9
LOL way to gaslight the channel

Lower the pitch of your voice, be concise and look them in the eye. Hope that helps. Cheers!
7
it WAS an entanglement. You should have seen the ropes and chains they used. 😲
7
Look for repetitive behavior. That's where things start to add up.
5
It was always going to end that way. Glad you got out sooner than later. Cheers!
5
I respectfully disagree. It's what takes a guy who looks like that from a Chad to a High Value individual.
5
@jwhippet8313 I try not to hang around verified insane people.
4
feel better?
3
No they don't. He's lashing out at everyone except her. He's a classic victim. Jada will be known as the next Amber Heard. I'm calling it now.
3
most successful comedians are less than average looking. Cheer up and keep trying.
3
No. Gaslighting is an intentional manipulation over a period of time. The other one is just a difference of perception or perspective.
3
I respectfully disagree. They are giving away techniques to enhance one's self. IME 'like it or lump it' doesn't work for many folks.
3
IKR?? All it took for her to heal was ripping others apart!
3
Remember: Comedy is a numbers game. Keep it light hearted and remind yourself of baseball averages. If 40% of you jokes connect, you are a hall of famer. Cheers!
3
Jada Pinkett-Smith will be the new Amber Heard. I'm calling it now.
3
Quite the opposite, actually. People are funny because they know what most people respond to, and then they practice. Every day. Everyone can be funnier. It's one of the great equalizers.
2
@dustinhertel7261 my my, that is an extreme analogy. Especially since the video didn't simply state "subvert expectations - Now hey, wanna pay me for more lessons like this?" They gave concrete examples and concepts made to inspire and intrigue the uninformed. Sure it was a rudimentary video, it's just a few minutes long. There are more detailed vids regarding the mechanics and nuances of humor out there if one was more inclined. Humor is the great equalizer - ANYONE can be funnier if they put the time in. One has to have a curious and open mind though, that's step one. Cheers!
2
@dustinhertel7261 TLDR. If you would have spent that time and energy practicing these strategies instead of composing a diatribe on why you are 'right', your humor skills would have improved already. But, keep convincing yourself it's impossible - it only affects you. Cheers!
2
Not even close to true. Everyone can be funnier. It's one of the great equalizers.
2
So why try, right?
2
You probably sound like you are trailing off. Try saying you last few words louder right before the pause. People will probably realize your thought is not over yet. Cheers!
2
@crunchybun all good friend. I appreciate the introspection and that dark humor isn't for everyone. Cheers!
2
Sounds like you are well on your way. Best of luck on your path.
2
Both. Lotsa great content out there. The trick is, don't wait, start today. :D
2
LOL!
2
It's just a tool, not the rule.
2
It about repetition. If their words don't match their actions, then believe the actions.
2
Dad jokes are the cornerstone of Western humor. Up until a few years ago, Dad jokes were simply know as puns. Like 8 out of 10 jokes are puns. Take away those, and all you have are fail videos and dark humor. Not a great future LOL. Embrace the pun. Your friends will thank you. Cheers!
2
try the 70/30 rule: other people should be talking 70% of the time. Ask questions and let the others talk about themselves - it's their favorite subject. You'll learn things about them and that will help you determine what to say and not say around them. Best of luck with the new team. Cheers!
2
So lying to her was justified?
2
@Rs2Hackzltd I'm not getting it twisted. She quoted him on what he said and then he stated "I never said that." which is demonstrably false. Let's be clear on that. This video was helpful in explaining the insidious nature of gaslighting, and you picking out one puny aspect of it that you don't agree with makes you seem paltry.
2
Are you sometimes? Gotta be honest with yourself before you can be honest with others.
2
it 100% works. It's your perspective that needs to change. Or not. You do you, Boo. Cheers!
2
thank selfie culture and social media...
2
Glad to know. Now everyone can sleep tonight.
2
That's the spirit!
1
You absolutely can. They just have to be willing to put in the time.
1
@slightcurve98 Really? I get paid handsomely to teach people the mechanics of humor and watch their progress improve all of the time. Comedy is one of the great equalizers: anyone can be funnier. But - have it your way, I guess. Cheers!
1
people on the the spectrum are a small percentage. This works for most people.
1
you sound hilarious.
1
so why try, right?
1
I tried that. She was really upset!
1
It's a skill they've practiced. The odds of them getting it exactly right by accident are remote.
1
Yeah, your Charisma course is far more clear about this.
1
"Remain just as you are." You mean, like stagnate? 😬
1
Congrats! I've never seen someone be 100% wrong before. You're a professional!
1
Humor is subjective. You'd be in the minority on that opinion though, I'd wager.
