  1. The beloved obsession with the car will have to end. You can't be green if man's continued obsession to rape the world of materials. Mining, transporting, manufacturing, all cost energy. Want to be green use a bicycle for short journeys and use one of the many surplus stock of cars for longer journeys. But alas the Victorians were forward looking they built a national rail network, visiting many towns, villages. Hard times came, wars, the fall of an empire and yes it was not cost effective, but if our lousy governments hadn't been so pathetic and kept the track beds, rail could have been Reinstated. The car is not the solution to green transport these waste more energy than a conventional oil motor.

  2. Who cares. It comes down to a little known thing.....not so common sense. If you can afford to own, lease, service, fuel and maintain a top end car, then why not, enjoy it. But don't sit in your canteens complaining about costs. But if your not bothered by the gadgets and over engineering and want to travel A to B via T, want simple affordable motoring then buy a dacia. To all the key fob snobs, somebody will always own more and better than you. Fact! Be wary of who you smirk at, I've always maintained my cars, rebuilt many engines and owned many motorcycles; I drive a sandero, my French powered Romanian safety cube. I'm not the one stressing at running costs or sat waiting for the AA. Many millions of other people have other interests that don't obsess about ncap safety cubes and neither want to waste money on cars. Each to their own. If you fancy seeing the difference of the elitist snob world of motoring, go to a car show. Very snobby, go to a motorcycle show, more relaxed and a laugh alot less snobs.

  3. Don't buy the 2008 308 with the ep6 engine. It's a peice of German junk (engine) . More issues than the EU.

  6. Save your time it's really simple power to weigh ratio. If you want speed acceleration on a budget spend £2000 on a litre Jap machine and go 0-60 in the under 3 seconds, get hooked on fast cornering as straight lines are easy and boring. Want comfort, luxury, load carrying then buy a car. Want similar 0-60 times as a bike, in a car, sell your organs, marry a rich person, have a good job. To name a few. Regardless how much you spend, how big tour ego is, someone will always be faster and have deeper pockets and ability than you. Not to forget traffic jams.
