  4. Work out the energy loss of powering a electric car. Starting normals cars with oil, we dig for that at huge cost, pipe it to refinerys, then store it, ship it to garage forecourts where we top our cars up. Now electric cars, they cost more using more resources for starters, again we dig for oil, coal, burn waste, nuclear. We then use this energy to turn huge turbines generating thousands of Volts. We then litter the country side in pylons, sub stations. all the while their is huge voltage loss in the way of heat. It finally makes it to a plug. How much energy is created and lost just to get to your home. Not exactly efficient.

  7. If you want green, ride a bicycle. Far more efficient in energy usage from construction, out last many cars. Yes many of you can't cycle any distance. Look at our European cousins, their mind set is different.

  8. Academics are great but hands on skills are required, massive shortages in engineering trades. Great have doctors, we're short of those, but we are short of thousands of tradesmen, mechanics, technicians. Engineers. Engineers make a country great.
