  1. I was brought up with discipline, yes I was smacked for being naughty... Hairbrush wins. I don't see a problem with this, went on to a very successful career, I haven't got time for the soft world of today, some aspects are great, we understand more. I don't cotton wall my child, it's free to run, play, muck about within the rules and boundaries set by us. It was pulling on a draw front once, back and forth. A kitchen draw with cuttlery and knifes in it, thinking it was funny. Told to stop. Didn't, so I smacked its legs. Hasn't done it since. Kid is safer as a result.
