  4.  @montecorbit8280  so I did a bit of research. But had Japan not surrendered, Enterprise would have participated in Operation Olympic as part of Task Force 58.4.

  5. There was a Ticonderoga Missile frigate named Yorktown. But honestly the US Navy had missed out a big opportunity to name two of the Gerald R Ford-Class Carriers Yorktown and Hornet.

  10.  @royasturias1784  The reputation for Queen Mary is somewhat different. She was given the nickname Grey Ghost because of her grey paint job and her speed (28-32 Knots) meant that she was a nightmare for U-Boats to even find her. Much less fire a torpedo

  11. That was probably the back up solution in the event the Atomic bombs and the Russian invasion of Manchuria didn’t work. Just have Enterprise and Warspite bomb and shell Tokyo
