@fooman2108 Oh i don't doubt that. Except that Enterprise between the Battle of Santa Cruz and the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal was repaired at Noumea, New Caledonia.

From what I understand there was a lot of radio traffic between Yorktown and Pearl Harbor into the details of the damage. Then when she got into air range she flew the reports over to the drydock. Plus Pearl Harbor had a copy of Enterprise’s blueprints lying around. So that when Yorktown arrived into drydock. The workers knew what to fix up.

@BaronSamedi1959 I know that when Enterprise went into her 1943 refit. The crew (excluding the Air Group) was divided into thirds and sent on 30 day leave at a time.
