  1. These tests are BS, try with a proper track not this joke. On Hockenheim ring (Sport Auto test), the M2 beats the CLA45 AMG by 1.5s so there is no reason why it should lose against the RS, which has indeed been proven slower than the 45 AMGs in Auto Trader. This track is a joke that favors FWD and AWD short wheel base hatches.

  4. leiya107 The thing is, it's not only journalists. Customers that have driven this car also describe it at being that good... I wouldn't be surprised at all: Ford is one of the biggest car companies, and they have built the car with Block. While his talent for rallying could be questioned, there's no denying the dude is probably one of the most qualified persons to help design a well balanced rallycross-inspired AWD system. I do think that the Civic Type R might not be as good as Honda describes it, and if i was on the market for it, i'd rather try to grab one of the last Mégane 3 RS, a car that has proven to be an awesome piece of engineering since its debut 7 years ago. To be fair, when i look up to tests, i tend to see the Type R "lose" to it... Plus it's almost ironic to claim that Ford might manipulate the results, while Honda has manipulated everyone with a non homologated laptime and self-proclaimed their car the "fastest production FWD vehicle". Just like the aerodynamic bs that CarThrottle has proven overrated (the front fender vents are barely opened).

  6. Tak Ho Chan Wrong because the engine sound is real (obvious), the exhaust sound is real (duh), but inside, the speakers play an additional synthetic sound. So the overall sound experience you have inside the car is partly synthesized. There you go.

  8. ***** What are you talking about... The CLA was on cup 2 and the M2 on PSS, and it was indeed the facelift CLA 45. They might have chosen the Cup 2 to make up for that disadvantage (of weight/downforce compared to A45 aero pack), but i'd be pretty confident to say an A45 on PSS would be slower than a CLA on Cup 2. /watch?v=ZARcOWEgsn0 look at the description.

  9. ***** The M2 only comes on PSS, i'm a BMW fan... The only BMW cars to have cup tyres are the race version of the M3/M4 (M4 GTS for this gen). Still 381hp. And again, on every forum i've seen, it's written than the CLA was on Cup 2 (a guy on the comments bought the magazine). It might be to compensate for the non updated chassis. But then again, the M2 only comes with specially designed PSS.
