  1. Just because it looks good in photos doesn't mean it feels the same irl. And most of the times Mercedes interiors don't. The fact the the G30's interior is driver oriented makes it feel better for the driver. I've not been in either so i can't say for a fact which is better and you neither. The E-Class does look better inside, but is it better ? Idk.

  2. It's NOT similar to the current X5's interior, not at all. It's literally a copy paste of the 7 with some adjustments, not like the X5. If you base yourself on an older model of lower quality then of course your judgment won't be correct. I think that the main thing is because of the layout, the E Class looks better but the 5 Series is more ergonomic.
