I think it goes too far to say Mexicans are an "outsider" in USA. One reason we like everyone to learn English in USA is so we can all communicate and not be "outsiders" vs "insiders".

@ladydontekno Ok, I remember growing up and hanging around Mexican and white people. I think it comes down more to assimilation. Some Mexican Americans will form Mexican cliques at school and it makes more sense to them. Others might make a lot of white friends, really depends and it's not all about skin color. I found the more generations someone is American the more easily they can fit in. Second generation people tend to hang around second generation people, but not always. It's culture. If you come to a new place either love and accept the culture or expect to feel more like an outsider.
