  1. Upwork has definitely gotten worse. I am top rated on there, and they used to send clients my way all the time. Now it is pay to play to advertise yourself instead of showing clients the best talent as a priority. When I don't pay they aren't sending me any clients now. Ridiculous.

  3. It is no where near what it used to be. It used to be if you were top rated they would send clients your way constantly. Now they charge you to make your profile more visible to clients, so you're getting outbid by someone paying more even if they don't have as good of a track record. I barely get clients reaching out now that they've made it that way.
