  1.  @12OclockLow  In a sense we are slaves, but only to our desires, our envy, our vices, how much stuff we think we "need". Heck my house is full of stuff and I'm not even much of a consumer (as far as Americans go) nor do I make above average wages. And with all that, I budget and live comfortably. When I was struggling what brought me to that point was almost entirely just poor decision making, we all have to take some responsibility.
