If only Western nations extended that "weakest makes right" mentality to geopolitics. It seems the civility only extends so far. And as for Thailand, it is the opposite of China in terms of regard for their fellow citizen. They take care of each other. Sure the traffic is a bit of a mess in some places, but that's besides the point.

But China has been under a communist party rule this entire time. So it's not like they are devoted to free market principles. They are pro regulation. They just created such a hugely inefficient government and corrupt system that it can't function properly to help people. Which communists always do.

I don't see how US putting high tariffs on their imports becomes a win. There is no time to just create our own manufacturing base to cover the deficits. So everyone is going to hurt.

To be fair, has any European country done any other kind of deals with Africa? It is always about control. France acted like it owned the Congo. NATO acted like it owned Libya (and ruined it). The World Bank has been giving out loans in exchange for resource control since its inception (see "Confessions of an Economic Hitman"). I think the lesson is to never ask for help unfortunately :( .

I'm starting to wonder if this is just US gov propaganda. China didn't "lose" the trade war. US is losing just as much. In trade wars both parties lose.

China sells goods all over the world. Ultimately everyone pays in a trade war, and I see no reason to say China will hurt more.
