@buckygal my dad had a green card and he got social security and had medical from his job. I don’t think he had to jump through hoops either but I was young and they never discussed those things in front of us as kids I didn’t even realize he had a green card until I was a teenager Maybe it’s bc he’s married to my mom who is a US citizen. We would also go to Mexico every year with no issues.

Democratic Socialists of America need to go to a socialist country bc we are a Constitutional Republic and our country has borders and laws. If they don’t like it then they can leave to a place where they claim to love
