  1.  @jonbbbb  Unfortunately this is how proper genocides happen: "we only wanted X", e.g. protect our people, save world etc. And conversely, a lot of people are wishing ill to other people and commit some unpleasant actions, yet that does not make it genocide.

  2. The definition is IMO flawed, because, for example, intercultural marriages would fall under genocide too. I think the definition must be limited to direct, quick and imminent elimination of some population. Any indirect and prolonged policies leading to the same effect, e.g. mass migrations, education and propaganda (like BBC, ARD/ZDF), legislation (on abortions, on marriage, taxation, zoning rules), proselytism etc are not genocide.
