There were two Russian Waffen-SS battalions, there were Baltic battalions etc. A whole Russian army of General Vlasov was formed out of deserters by Germans. It then turned on Germans and freed Prague in 1945. It is not as simple as it is painted by propagandists.

In the beginning many peasants hoped that Germans would free them from the collective farms, restore churches etc. And they did. So, rural population sat on the fence and only when Nazis had shown themselves even worse than Soviets, mass resistance started. Yet there were lots of collaborators like the guy Trudeau applauded. Then there was a huge Ukrainian partisan movement against Soviets after the war which had little to do with Nazis. This movement ceased only after the Stalin's death. Now it is a part of Ukrainian identity and difficult to separate from Nazis collaborators. Zelensky cannot reject it. In Kiev there is a huge monument to Bohdan Khmelnytsky, a bandit and mass murderer of Jews and Poles. Zelensky cannot demolish it either, even if he wished to.

The history of it is pretty good documented by the Ministry of State Security USSR, which performed punitive actions in Ukraine and to which Putin served and which murdered far more Russians, Ukrainians, Jews etc than Nazis. I recommend you to read something on the history of USSR in order to learn some basic facts.
