Fact: As far as “Freedom of Navigation” is concerned the US only recognizes 12 miles of the waters that extends from a country’s shorelines out to 12 miles away to the open ocean. Meanwhile, the US claims any waters that is within 200 miles of its shores are its territorial waters and it has the right to attack any country that comes within this territorial waters that it claims as being its exclusive water zone! Despite this rule that it has made for itself and the rest of the world the US still violates the 12 mile territorial waters rule it has made for China by sailing its warships and submarines within a couple of miles from China’s coastlines on a daily basis in a provocative gesture that shouts out to China, “Yeah, we entered your territory, so what! Do something about it!” But meanwhile when Russia and China sailed their warships within 300 miles of Alaska’s coastlines last year the US military officials and politicians screamed their heads off about how China and Russia have intruded upon the US’s territorial waters and how those two countries were trying to instigate a war with the US! The whole ordeal reeked of hypocrisy! Some “Freedom of Navigation” that is, eh?
