Back in the 70's and 80's the CIA and DEA were smuggling drugs from all over the world into the US to be sold to drug dealers all across the US, especially to large urban areas where black and Latino people were living! Thousands of tons of cocaine, heroine, opium, and methamphetamine were smuggled into the US by the CIA and DEA every year during the 70''s and 80's! The money from the drugs deals were used to do regime change operations throughout the world and to line the top military and government officials' pockets! So, the idea that the US government officials actually care about the staggering drug problems and drug uses are ludicrous! As long as it benefits the politicians' and the billionaire corporate elites' pockets it doesn't matter to them if the American people get stoned by these drugs, especially if they can blame China, Mexico, Columbia, Afghanistan, and other countries for it! In fact, the opium trade in Afghanistan ceased to exist once the US military pulled out of Afghanistan in 2021! If this doesn't raise a red flag I don't know what does!
