  2. Just look at how the US government treated one of the greatest foreign minds to ever worked in the USA - Qian Xuesen, who was a Chinese aerospace engineer and cyberneticist and one of the greatest engineers in US’s history thst helped the US in the fields of aerodynamics and established engineering cybernwtics. He co-founded NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, was one of US’s leading experts in rockets and high-speed flight theory, taught at Caltech and MIT as a college professor, and served as an expert consultant for the US Department of Defense and the Department of War as well as other roles that he helped the US military with and was given a rank of colonel within the US Army; however, because of his Chinese ethnicity he was accused of being a sympathizer of the Chinese communist government without any evidence whatsoever to back up that accusation and so he was given 5 years of house arrest for a “crime” that he didn’t commit and was forced to face daily US government surveillance while he was inside his house. After he was released from his house arrest he was deported back to China with protests from his colleagues that he was working with and from Navy Under-Secretary Dan Kimbal who tried desperately to keep him in the US and keep him from being punished for a crime that he didn’t commit; however, because of the fear of communism at the time and the racism that people had for Chinese people he was sent back to China. Once he went back to China he helped lead China’s aerospace, missile, and space programs in which he became known as the “Father of Chinese Rocketry” and the “Father of Chinese Aerospace.” Under Secretary Kimball called Qian Xuesen’s deportation “The stupidest thing this country ever did. He was no more a Communist than I was, and we forced him to go." Here are some of his contributions to China: - Helped develop the rockets that launched China's first satellite into space. - Led the development of the Dongfeng missile series. - Helped develop the Haiying family of anti-ship missiles, also known as Silkworms. - Contributed to the development of China's defense industry, higher education, and research system. - Contributed to the development of China's rocket force.
