  1. He is a fallible human being like most of us. But be careful of putting any cleric on a pedestal. You will always be disappointed in the end.

  2. Clerics can be ignored entirely. I often think they believe themselves superior to the average Muslim or member of any religion. We only need the Quran to understand our Creator's will and guidance for us. Even in Jesus's time the clergy were in opposition to him because he exposed their hypocrisy so they plotted to murder him with the elites. History always repeats the same lesson.

  3.  @MrAgsalud  I'm sure they did. But we can take it or leave it as Muslim's as far as I am concerned because the guidance is in the Quran and the rest is superfluous to our religion. I often read self help books and they are full of good advice and wisdom but they are not comparable to the basic rules of the Quran to humanity.
