  1. i do not believe in magic. there are beliefs, and beliefs have real effects on the people who hold those beliefs. people communicate their beliefs in many ways, not always with words (sometimes with body language, or with hidden messages read between the lines of actions, reactions, and inaction as well as other people's beliefs). there is also the placebo effect (belief effects the physical self). i believe that "magic" (the kind that works) is really known physical effects that are unnamed. there are forms of meditation within some buddhist cultures that teach you to harness the power of placebo to teach you mind over body techniques. there are forms of image control to manipulate the behavior of others that are taught by neurolinguistic programming (as related to advertising, not the bullshit mystic mumbo jumbo NLP). saying something is "magic" i akin to "not understood".we are confined to the physical universe.
