the surveillance going on in the US is straight up illegal and unconstitutional. any law that legitimizes it is an illegal law and the person who presents it should be tried for treason. any law that makes it legal is a law that delegitimizes the power of the government, breaks the social contract and legitimizes all previously illegal activity. if the government doesn't have to follow the constitution, than what gives them power to make laws at all? a few judges in a court doesn't change this fact., and have no legitimacy to enforce laws after passing such unconstitutional laws.
