  2. So you killed comedy? But why? Speaking as a veteran of two wars, and a sexual abuse survivor. If you can't learn to laugh at your own trauma, then you can't get over it. Thems the breaks. Although cognitive behavioral therapy does encourage you to share your experiences, the narrative framing is more about other people and less about yourself. People follow simple motivations, your paranoia will continue until you learn to narrate reasonable motivations for people rather than menacing narratives for them. Sometimes you will be wrong, but most often you will be right. You got to question your own narrative of other people. Most people are self interested and generally kind at a superficial level. I recommend sharing your experiences with someone that you are emotionally invested in, rather than a crowd of strangers that you can easily push away. Also write them down, and write them down until you don't have nightmares so frequently anymore.
