12:50 He begins to actually address a fundamental problem on both sides, and is quickly interrupted. That is the exact OPPOSITE of what I expect from TED.

@OrganicMint87 he was talking about "shared reality" and that is a fundamental divide between groups. Most people don't realize that many of their differences with others rest on this problem, they are focused on something from different perspectives. Take pro-life and pro-choice as an example. Pro-life advocates focus on an unborn baby while pro-choice advocates focus on a woman's agency and autonomy. They don't see the problem through a shared lens, and that is the fundamental problem that prevents agreement.

thecouchtripper I think you are a troll and deliberately attempting to incite anger or hostility. Free speech is the first amendment for a reason. When people can't settle their differences with speech, they settle them with violence. Encouraging censorship is encouraging murder.

@OrganicMint87 I don't have an answer for your question. I just wish they wouldn't have cut him off.

@jamesburgess2k To be fair, that is racist against white people.

Its hard to make safe spaces for black women, because if you allow black women on a platform you also have to allow black women on it. And they attack each other. No space is safe for black people if black people are allowed into it. Black people are the number 1 enemy of black people.

@markyfrencho Multiple studies have been done that show that the character limit is what causes nuance and discussion about a topic to be dropped and instead reduce the discussion to a flame war.

Because she hates white women and wants to specifically exclude them. She is a racist.
