  1. we need to end social liberation violence. these are attacks on people's liberties disguised as other things. i agree, we need to attempt to keep guns out of the hands of people who would use them to shoot children. but i disagree on how to do that. instead of banning guns, i think we need to address situations that would cause a person to think it was a good idea to shoot a kid. and to even begin to address this, we need to talk about the real world consequences of backing someone into a corner by stripping them of all of their liberties, until they have nowhere else to turn, and no direction to travel without using violent force. guns don' kill people. water doesn't kill people. people kill people, sometimes on purpose and sometimes on accident.

  2. +Science and Truth 2 Rock because the government ALWAYS overreaches and illegally infringes on liberties. look at how much they respect the 4th amendment with all the illegal surveillance. look at how much they respect the 1st amendment with the war on whistle blowers. look at how much they respect the 5th amendment with the war on encryption. why would i trust them to to leave the intelligence alone and not ban my gun from ME using it? i would trust that a lot more if they pulled a sudden huge list of apologies and started respecting the constitution and repealing very dirty government behavior. but i somehow doubt that is going to happen. as such a very sad truth is that i must defend myself from my own government, and not allow them a slope to slip down. anything that gives them more power over me than i have over myself is a threat i am not willing to risk.
