@stevenhoog1 So what you are saying is that the group of people who want to help you is a power greater than yourself? Have you ever heard of Descarte's famous saying, "I think therefore I am"? It is you who gives those things value, it is you who prizes the group of people over yourself. But the reality is that there is a tiny chance that those people are all a figment of your imagination. The pantheist god may be a higher power than you, and is certainly a thing. But such a god does not care about you nor what activities you do, what drugs you consume, or if you are alive at all.

@stevenhoog1 I don't believe in sick minds. Its a made up thing used in order to control behavior and thoughts. A sick mind is a mind that doesn't work well or mesh well with society as a whole. But there are societies in which well adjustment is not a sign of good mental health. The governments of the world today are sick, if you don't mesh well with society that is probably a good thing.

@stevenhoog1 I agree that you gotta try to become stronger and better by your own internal standards. Your higher being is the future you that you could become, if only you put the work in to do so now. As for drugs, its a big gray hazy area for me. Two people with two different lives could be doing the same drug at the same rate and same amount with it being a major problem for one and not a problem at all for the other. Different people have different bars and different standards for different things. But people who are trying to quit an addiction are by default trying to become stronger and more independent.

@alysamoon9234 perhaps it was unfairly demonized and I was a victim of disinformation.
