  1. Stuff like this always happens. Some guy with great intentions comes up with a good idea. In this case to track and help clear space debris. But by the time it gets funded, some other guy coopts it and uses it for something it was never intended to do. In this case track satellites to help shoot them out of the sky. So some program that was intended to help clear up space debris, ironically ends up creating more space debris.
