It doesn't surprise me at all. There is a bunch of propaganda and social programs to try and hold back the age at which women start having children. Just having a kid at the age of 23 does so much to prevent pregnancy related complications. If you want a safe pregnancy with a safe delivery, consider going under the age of 23 all the way down to about 16 before you consider having the baby later than the age of 23. By delaying pregnancy past the age of 23, you INCREASE the chance for pregnancy complications and health problems. Our propaganda and social programs that delay having children is the most preventable cause of these complications.

@aquasky1138 I agree. None of these studies take into account the amount of money that men work for and women spend. The gender consumer gap is massive and women dominate it. So Maybe those 3 hours aren't really unpaid.

Have children when you are young and healthy. Stroke and hemorrhage and kidney failures a direct result of preventable complications that arise from waiting too long to have kids. Have kids when you are young and healthy, its not rocket science no matter how much the propagandists want to make it seem that way.

@aquasky1138 People have to ask themselves, is it worth it to work in today's climate of high expense daycare and the like. Maybe it isn't a good idea to live in an expensive city. People think they can have it all with no sacrifice, that is simply not true.

@lynnstrange3819 change away. But smokers are still going to get lung cancer. And waiting to have kids is still going to lead to health problems for the babies, and complications for the mothers. Nobody can save you from yourself.

@aquasky1138 if men have to work extra, is that really equality?

@Dnttalk2me That is a good question, It looks like Australia has a higher median age of first birth. I honestly couldn't find many other countries other than the top and bottom 10. I found the US but that was as of 2013. The top and bottom 10 was as of 2018. I imagine there are many other correlations with obesity and average life span as well, not to mention use of anti-depressants (very high in the US) and other psych medication.

@aquasky1138 Yeah I agree with accidental pregnancies like that. I don't think this is the majority of what is happening though. I would imagine (and I could be wrong) that there are more women over 40 that try to have children but can't have them then there are women over 40 who accidently have get pregnant.
