Try to do it by naming the smell instead of the object that gives off the smell. I will wait. We don't have names for smells, no words to describe the scent independent of the source of the scent. That is why you don't often consciously think of the importance of the sense of smell. Its easy to name what you see, that is why you think of sight. But your sense of smell recalls memory more strongly, impacts your emotions more strongly and is the first and most important sense chronologically speaking as far as evolution goes.
