  2. I think that the earth does NOT radiate as much energy back into space as it receives from the sun. All of those thermodynamic changes of structure use up energy, there is actual calories lost. The waste heat is less then the heat that drove the generally endothermic effects. Life on average is endothermic and there are many life processes that are using up that energy and spitting out waste but the waste is not equal to the input energy. Also a lot of energy gets used evaporating the ocean only for it to rain right back into the ocean. That is a major energy sink and it also has interplay with atmospheric gasses and the order of stuff in the ocean, salinity and minerals, and heat and currents, all effected by the sun and its secondary effects. Life uses a lot of energy as well.

  5. I just sort videos by subscription and scroll through that. Whenever youtube starts to try and decide what I should watch by some change, I find a way to just scroll through the videos made by channels I chose to subscribe too. The bell is a crapshoot, the notifications are a crapshoot, the subscription page is the way to go.

  10. Humans cannot observe correctly what is going on. We have limited perception and capacity to imagine perception because these things were evolved over survival and reproductive means rather than understanding the truth of everything means. We don't and can't observe spacial dimensions which have 0 impact on our survival and ability to reproduce. If predators don't move that way, and sex doesn't work that way, and food can't be found that way, then we didn't evolve to perceive it.

  13. Maybe a decade ago I checked out a lot of different illusions to teach myself that my sences are lies. Qualia are partly sensory signals and mostly expectations and subconscious predictions. If you could really trust your vision, than you would constantly be aware of your blind spots. But you are blind to your blindness.
