  1. Its the high fructose corn syrup you should be dodging. The problem is that it has the same calories as sugar, but it doesn't trigger the same hormone mechanisms to make you feel full or satiated like sugar does. If I eat corn, I get the multicolored kind, that isn't grown everywhere. I also dodge soy, and you should too (unless it has been fermented, then it is fine).

  2. @Gaye Keen I think he is referencing a law in the US that removed liability for the Monsanto company from the damage caused by thier products.
