  1.  @Cryptonymicus  Some (not all) of the VA jobs pay way above market, specifically the less trained people like receptionists, nursing assistants, medical billing and the like. The VA also pays a premium for its patient record software (leased not owned). The old VA setup was already corrupt, look into the past few decades on how many people have gotten in trouble working on the higher levels of the VA. The private sector might just be more efficient and cheaper.
