Satire just died today, and comedy is dying too. Its sad, because in a way this is reasonable. What does it say about the state of politics when the 1st amendment doesn't defend jokes? But then again, what does it say when people have legitimate concerns over a joke? And even worse, what if it wasn't a joke?

@Cryptonymicus I remember having to learn how to laugh at the very real possibility that I could die at any moment in war. I also had to learn how to laugh at the possibility of my closest friends dying. Humor is an often overlooked defense mechanism.
1
