  1. Imagine a growing multigenerational family on a homestead. As the family grows they must compete for limited resources more or they must become more efficient. Imagine many of these family homesteads with growing families for many generations based on unsustainable levels of efficiency. That is the ground situation, if anyone truly at fault is alive today, they are very old.

  2. There are some worldwide social norms that I prefer from 300 years ago to the norms of today. Freedom isn't free.

  3.  @iyziejane  I think temporary increases in production lead to permanent increases in money supply. Then there was that whole few decades of straight up shipping our industries into other countries, that isn't really sustainable either.
