  1. A house in the US will cost ten years of full time work, all of the money of those ten years. So it is payed in twenty years, so that you can pay other bills and buy food. Many people see the future and want a house like your house, but can't afford them. In most ways you are much richer than common Americans. Most people your age will never have a house of their own.
