  5. The real goal has been and is population reduction for future economy. It's a natural resource vs natural population thing. Show me a national government and I'll show you an institution that is working on reducing the number of children born in it's jurisdiction.

I have the benefit of hindsight now, she was wrong and she was propagating a common lie intended to prevent competition in the market. My point is that thousands of people aren't required for this stuff. Think of it as a information security to maintain monopoly thing. Lithography can be used to improve lithography, chemistry used to be something that young boys played with and is easier than most people think, US has the best silicon on the planet for this. Cell phones have been at the five nanometer gap for nearly ten years now. It could be done, the real question is if it will be done.

  9. My shoes were just over a hundred for one pair, just over two hundred another pair, and 260 for a pair of leather boots. All made in USA. Each will individually last for five to fifteen years. It's not that expensive in the long run. They don't fall apart as quickly as cheaper shoes.

  11. ​ @ChucksSEADnDEAD damn, I should have used your analogy... It's more likely that bullets accidentally collide in the atmosphere than artificial satellites collide outside of it. The sheer volume of space is immense, unimaginable, vast beyond comprehension. The Earth itself is tiny compared to the space between the Earth and Moon. Satellites will collide given eternity. But if it happens in the next thousand years, then it was certainly intentional and not an accident.

  12.  @tyharris9994  I think your net will have too large of holes. Planes are awfully thin. You might get a constellation of close orbit satellites or two, maybe three with extreme precision and four with luck, but that's it for the next few million years. Space is massive, unless there was coordination or mathematical orbiting reasons (for very specific locations at that) then the odds of a car sized object to make a long term threat are negligible. Virtually impossible. They are going to shatter into tiny debris, the debris will lose mass compared to the original, the smaller mass will require greater speed to remain in orbit, their orbit will decay more quickly. It won't be long before the atmosphere creates too much drag and they are pulled back into Earth. They (the intentional collision devices) would have to be moving in retroorbit or at least some angular orbit to intercept and the shrapnel would be thrown in a direction that is incongruent with orbit, the Earth's rotation would cause them to fall into the Earth. Any that are moving fast enough to gain orbit of their own will either slowly have their orbit altered by tidal forces between the Earth and Moon, or will fall into the Earth or less likely the moon. It will be difficult to get orbital velocity instead of escape velocity from the original collision due to the necessary vector of possible collision. I am not too worried about accidental space debris. It's impossible to create a large net that surrounds the planet thickly enough to create a real obstacle without using planetary volumes and mass. If we are at risk of the entire continent of Africa being converted into debris and shot into space then I will change my mind.

  19. We need babies, not immigrants. Using immigrants instead radically reduces growth and labor value. We also need some protection from foreign investing in housing and land, perhaps only allowing them to purchase condos on other people's land much like many other countries. If we don't do something about these things then USA is set to follow China and what it has done in the last ten years.

It cools when it turns into CO2 and is an endothermic reaction powered by cosmic rays that would otherwise turn oxygen into ozone. Because of that it has interactions with the ozone layer and ultimately increases the amount of UV light that gets to the ground.

  23. ​ @Alexadria205 it's pretty easy for them to do well on social media. Except that there is strong cooperation from corporations to prevent children from being monetized on the internet. The governments are working with the corporations to cut birth rates and increase immigration.

  24. Hit up local state laws and take the whole area and all infrastructure. Government can do this without charging for a crime, it's been done many times already and corporations are people too. Then pass a local measure to make it local and hire locals to get the work done.

  31. Sure lithium ain't great for batteries. But heavy lithium is the future of nuclear technology, and nobody is good as the US at separating isotopes. We need it for fission-fusion reactors that use fission to start a fusion cycle that loses energy to enrich heavy elements that can be used in fission as well as clean up nuclear waste.
