So he woke up & decided to kill some random person. Now the victims family will have to wait for years for justice to be served. Does anyone see the problem here? Guy flat admitted to killing this innocent woman, so why cannot we just administer the death penalty immediately...that would be justice, and save millions in court, legal, and jailing costs. Wake up America.

@TheJesselopez1981 Death penalty is not murder...it is punishment for committing murder. There is a big difference in the 2. It is not a crime to administer death penalty; however, it is a crime to take an innocent life (Murder).

@TheJesselopez1981 I would like some croutons on the word salad you're trying to serve. 1st this Louisiana, not Cali, 2nd if a court orders death penalty, it is a law (so not lawless as you imply). Same as if court orders you to spend time in prison, it is lawful confinement, not hostage or kidnapping. Stop trying to spin doctor this to try and support your position. It is simple, eye for an eye...

@TheJesselopez1981 Based on the current evidence presented, he is guilty, even without his own confession. There is video, and his facebook post of him recording the murder. As they continue to investigate, there will surely be more solid evidence tying him to this crime. Also, it makes no difference to the families he impacted by his act as to whether or not he has mental health issues...they want closure, and we as a society want one less murderer consuming our oxygen and $$$.

@TheJesselopez1981 if that was your family member that was senselessly killed by this clown, I’m pretty sure you would have a totally different opinion about his mental health, and trials, and all the other BS excuses you are trying to present here…put yourself in the shoes of this poor woman’s mother who now has to bury her only daughter.

@TheJesselopez1981 you worked your way into this corner, now you are trying to fight your way out. Laws protect us as citizens to do and not do certain things in life, without consequence…. One of the main ones is to protect our right to live safely. When someone violates that right, they face consequences. Courts sometime administer justice, but there are times when citizens take the law into their own hands. Murder is a violation of the law, as determined by court and jury of peers. It is not murder if court sentenances someone to death. It is also not murder to defend yourself, and family, against someone trying to harm you or them…law allows people to do that. If that woman driver would have shot and killed that scumbag who stabbed her, she would not be charged and would not be murder. You, my friend, are the one who Is comprehension challenged.

@TheJesselopez1981 Hopefully you never lose a close family member to murder, then have to face the dilemma of deciding the outcome of the criminal who committed it.

@TheJesselopez1981 Without being to harsh, I was stating that if you lose a family member to murder, you will personally witness what it's like to deal with endless court dates, appeals, extensions, etc...and possibly watch the criminal get under sentenced or released. If you are faced with this scenario, I'm pretty sure your position will change.
