You don't bring a taser to a knife or gun fight. If the perp is on meth or some other stimulant, the taser most likely will not have much effect. Cop followed protocol and shooting was good. Technically, the cop should have targeted chest area (center mass) based on training, but instead shot him in arm holding knife, so cop was very aware of situation and did great job of deescalating the situation.

Good shooting...guy was warned multiple times, he aggressively came at officer with knife drawn. He was shot in the arm, but should have been shot in chest, based on how officers are trained, so officer was being sympathetic to this guys state of mind. Then he said he wanted to be left to die after he was shot...guy was suicidal.
