  1. I remember going to a Republican Senate District Convention in MN and a very fat guy was carrying his gun, since we're an open carry state. There was no problem. At the time, Senator Norm Coleman even spoke at the convention as well as our U.S. Representative. This "banning" of firearms at the National Convention just goes to show you that the Republicans have no convictions about gun ownership. They don't believe in freedom?
