  3. Trump did some libertarian things while in office, but he is still an authoritarian on many issues. He grew government and inflation and never drained the swamp. He made the swamp bigger.

  7. Tim Pawlenty voted for spending money on the Twins Stadium and signed a smoking ban. Tim also approved of more spending. It was a Democrats 12% increase versus a Republican 9% increase and the Republicans celebrated their 9% increase in spending. Really? I thought Republicans wanted to cut government. When it boils down to it, the R's and D's have little differences and Pawlenty is just another mushy moderate.

  8. I remember this guy on late night TV. I'm glad to see he's on our side about all this insane government spending. If you need a libertarian voice for your finances, I would check out Peter Schiff at Peter-Schiff . com. He's got a very good podcast you should check out, so you can learn how to profit during these inflationary years.

  9. Vouchers are not free market. All government money comes with strings attached, regulations and these schools may need to be "certified" according to the government. Homeschooling is more free market, but vouchers which came from taxpayers are not free market. All schools should ideally be private so kids get the best education.

  11. Technically, the Federal Reserve is a private corporation. However, the chair is appointed by the President of the United States. It’s also a highly political organization.

  12. @ryguy86 I agree to some extent. They would be screaming like piggies. However, the stock markets are a good feedback mechanism in this pseudo free market we have, even if there are a lot of computers trading based on algorithms.

  17. @ryguy86 What's stopping you from investing? Anyone can participate in the markets so I wouldn't complain. When you get home from your 40+ hour job you can sit on your ass and try to make money too. I do believe that Wall Street shouldn't get any bailouts or "stimulus" from the Fed.

  18. @helltrackrider Totally agreed! Once again people have to fall for left vs. right economics. Either spend and tax liberals or spend and don't balance the budget. This isn't a real choice. The real solution is cutting government. Reagan couldn't do it. Newt couldn't do it. You can't have a giant military, police state and entitlements and balance the budget. Get real.

  19. @TombaFanatic I think vouchers are a step backwards towards more government. I would rather let parents opt out and give them either a tax credit or lower taxes all together. I'd rather not give government more control of our money.
