American born I my parents were contacted by a girl. She set a dinner date at a restaurant I worked at before. I was early so I looked over the menu. I got a tap on my shoulder and the most beautiful model was standing there!! She's from Hong Kong - 27, divorced with 2 kids, house and a car. Talking over dinner, she knew all about me. She said: "Would you marry me"? We date about 4 years. She had a degree in business management and wanted to start a business. We started up 2 businesses, owned a carryout restaurant, she did her modeling and I worked as a 2nd level technical support engineer. So being an average guy I got lucky.

@alexdo3838 It takes time to build a relationship. It took about 4 years to work out the kinks and a lot of give and take.

@alexdo3838 I don't drink, smoke, use drugs or gamble so those were positive. She isn't into luxury items or expensive cars. We make businesses decisions together and set limits on purchases. Family matters we have a round table so we compromise. I'm sorry if you are stuck in a no win situation.

@alexdo3838 Maybe the both of you should try going to a counselor. At least give it a try. We don't try to keep up with the Jone's. She's admired being a model but doesn't let it go to her head. Things are always greener on the other side of the fence until you fall off the fence! My philosophy: get what you really need, not what you want. I want to be a rock star (OZZY} - ha, ha, ha, but I'll stick to singing in the shower!!
