  1. We visited my mother's village. Buying a cabbie some coffee, he warned me about the match makers and families talking to my parents. We listened from the courtyard: 888,888RMB ($120,000US), houses, cars, gold jewelry, wedding costs... etc. I hadn't met the girls yet. My parents only said I lived with them and was an engineer. They looked at me: not tall enough, not handsome, dressed poorly (no suit), looked dumb... etc. I was pre-judged for not meeting their standards. After I got married, we went back and shocked the whole village. She's a beautiful 31 year old model from Hong Kong. A 1 in a million reasonable woman with no dowry or demands!!

  2. @catfoodmillionaire7838 Thank you. We've been married many years now. Have 2 businesses, houses paid off, good investments and she still models for local Victoria's Secret runway shows.
